Nothing here was engineered. Every specimen was grown — described to a machine in plain language, corrected, described again, until it began to behave. The method has no discipline and it produces things a disciplined method would have killed at the proposal stage.
Every experiment starts as a mood, never a specification. A half-idea, a what-if, something seen at the edge of the eye. If a specification is ever written it is written afterwards, to explain what already exists.
Precision is optional. Conviction is not. A vague instruction held for two hundred iterations beats a precise one abandoned after ten, every time, and it is not close.

It ships when it feels right. Feels right is the entire quality assurance department, and it is more reliable than it sounds, because the person doing the feeling is the person who will have to look at the thing every day for a year.
Everything on this site that looks like an instrument is reading something real: your pointer, your scroll, the clock in Lyon, the specimen you have selected. There is no decorative telemetry here. If a needle moves, you moved it.

Every research log ends with what is broken, because a portfolio without failure modes is an advertisement. Four of the six specimens carry a defect I do not currently know how to fix, and two of those defects are load-bearing.
The machine is not a collaborator and it is not a tool. It is a very fast, very literal apprentice with no taste and no fatigue. Taste remains the bottleneck. That is the good news.
Nothing here is a product. Nothing here has users. Two of these will never be finished, and that is a condition of the work rather than a failure of it.
